Thomas (Tom) Lombardi: Employment Law, Security Clearance, and Family Law Attorney

Thomas (Tom) Lombardi is a seasoned attorney with nearly two decades of experience, focusing on employment law and security clearance matters. Tom’s client-centered practice emphasizes accountability, integrity, and delivering results. He spent a significant portion of his career as an attorney at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), where he handled oversight and accountability issues across various sectors, including labor and employment, homeland security, and technology. Additionally, he served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney in Washington, D.C., gaining valuable litigation experience in federal law.

After transitioning to private practice, Tom joined Patriots Law Group, where his primary focus is employment law. He represents clients in workplace disputes, including cases of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Tom has litigated claims under key employment laws, such as Title VII, the ADEA, and the ADA. He also represents federal employees in Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) claims and Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) appeals.

In addition to his employment law work, Tom provides strategic counsel on security clearance matters. He advises clients through the clearance application process and represents individuals facing security clearance revocations, suspensions, and denials. With his deep understanding of government protocols, Tom helps clients safeguard their careers in highly sensitive roles.

While his primary focus is employment and security law, Tom also assists clients with family law matters, including divorce and child custody, ensuring a comprehensive legal service for his clients in Virginia.

Education and Bar Admissions:
Tom earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt Law School and his Bachelor of Arts from Emory University. He is admitted to practice in Virginia (2003), Washington, D.C. (2005), and before the U.S. Supreme Court (2018).
